Canoeing Ireland maintains public liability insurance which covers Canoeing Ireland approved courses and events. These course and events must be registered in the Canoeing Ireland calendar. This cover also extends to cover instructors providing registered proficiency courses & assessments on a non-commercial basis up to and including the Level 3 proficiency award.
It is important to note that courses must the notified to Canoeing Ireland and placed on the calendar of events, and they must also be non-commercial. Commercial providers must provide insurance details to Canoeing Ireland prior to course approval for Level 4 & Level 5 proficiency courses and assessments.
Canoeing Ireland reviews its insurance cover each year prior to renewel to offer its members the best deal, and is continually trying to expand cover while maintaining value for money for members.
